According to data from Russian analysis firm Avtostat, in February 2022, European and Japanese Korean car brands accounted for 69% of sales in the Russian car market, but this proportion has now dropped to 8.5%. At the same time, the market share of Chinese car manufacturers in Russia has significantly increased from 9% to 57%.

According to data from the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, from January to September 2024, the sales volume of Chinese cars in Russia reached nearly 850000 units, far exceeding other countries.
